My ASUS NF7-S and AMD 3000 crapped out on me was a good machine had it several years. I planned on just a new motherboard and cpu but looking at reviews of a few prefabbed machines and price I simply bought a machine.

I only do work on my machine and play Half Life 2, Nascar 2003, NFSU and BF1942, old games I know but hey im old :P

I plan to pull the nvidia card out, what ATI card you guys suggest I replace it with?

Well you can try the ATI 4850...I heard a lot of good about it's performance as a mid range monster.

I can vouch for the 4850's. I have a Visiontek 4850, and the thing is amazing. As of catalyst 8.7 the fan still doesnt spin fast enough, but with the fan "hack"...the card runs at 50-53C. AND I think I mentioned that the card is amazing...and the price, can't beat it.

If this is too much card for you, the 9600GT would be an excellent choice for just light gaming and can be had for $99 after $5.00 rebate with free shipping......

Thanks folks and I was looking at that Sapphire HD 4850 512MB

Will I have power issues with the cpu, vista and that card at 420 watts?

Not from what I am seeing. I have a Phenom 9550, 4 HDD's, 1 Optical, Theatrix 550, and a HD 4850 512MB. All running on my trusty Tagan U22 480W PSU. Also running Vista Ultimate 64. I think you are fine, personally.
