I actually do not like the parry mechanic in Bloodborne at all. Its way too easy, I don't like guns in Souls, and it gets quite boring after the 10th enemy in a row I do it to. The only enemy I still find tricky to parry in BB are the Executioners. Those guys are fun to fight against. Everything else though is just boring. Compared to Sekiro its no contest, where the moment to moment stealth and samurai sword play is just second to none, IMO. Superb parry/riposte mechanic there.
Its not really a debate I want to have. They are both incredible games and I don't want to pit them against each other. It just comes down to personal preference, and since the day Sekiro was first released I was in love with the refined sword play of that game.
As for BB, I just finished the Forbidden Woods boss and now on to Byrgenwerth. Even though was a fairly standard gank squad fight I did enjoy the Shadow of Yharnam boss. I thank the devs for putting that huge tombstone thing in the boss room. Used it to great effect in separating them one at a time. Then on the last one when he started casting the giant snake summon spell I would just transform the Ludwig's blade to one-handed and high DPS him to stop his casting. He only got the snake summon off once.
