hmm, i wouldn't really call it suspension, it looks like he's controlling it manually, in the discription it even says its manually controlled, there is some suspension tho as you can see by the springs but the articulation is provided via hydraulics.
 
Allows one to drive more level on extreme terrain but I think dedicated crawlers would have a better chance of actually getting through the terrain.
