Is there a way to drop certain items in Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

First of all, this is a great game! Although it doesn't have the fear factor that System Shock 2 had

Anyways here's the deal:

I play a lot of Day of Defeat, I have become accustomed to the Axis Light Infantry class with their KAR. Basically the KAR has near the accuracy of a sniper rifle without a scope. I was delighted to find a Mauser Rifle in RtCW with similar properties. Powerful and accurate.

However I had the misfortune of picking up the scope for the Mauser Rifle! The usual crosshair disappears when I have the Mauser Rifle with Scope selected. I perform much better when I can immediately line up the crosshair to fire (even at long ranges) than with the sights from the scope (since RtCW has the built-in wobble feature). Is there a way for me to get rid of the scope? Or force the crosshair to show?

I'd rather get rid of the scope and have the crosshair back since there are other sniper rifles to use. There must be some sort on console command to drop items from my inventory... Thanks!

Sorry cant answer your question in full other than when i use the mauser in rtcw the crosshair shows when im not using the scope.

It didnt always so i think it might be to do with my choice of crosshair.(circle with a dot in)

Wouldn't that drop the entire weapon and scope? He wants to just get rid of the scope.

Actually it does appear he wants another rifle so he would have to drop it, i just told him how i use a crosshair with that rifle.
