In all honesty we need our own manufacturing plants right here in North America. The world shouldn't depend on a specific region for almost all our silicon, insane that we have to. If a giant Tsunami wipes out those plants the world will be in a standstill for 5-7 years minimum, that's how long it would take to build a new plant from scratch.

The end of the world isn't volcanoes or superstorms, it's the inability to buy and consume products because you're so dependent on this now. Imagine if you couldn't buy anything from phones to GPU's to TV's or anything silicon dependent because of permanent shortages or permanent manufacturing setbacks. I feel like rioting just thinking about it.

Did they name their next core after Ada Lovelace or Linda Lovelace? Because the latter might be more appropriate. "Hey gamers, get f----d!"

Cant happen soon enough. I know 10 billion sounds like a lot of money to invest(cause it is) but these companies are getting so many orders to manufacture it doesnt make sense that they havent started opening planets all across the globe to meet the demand.
Housing market in Austin must be booming more than it already has at this point.
north america needs to do alot more than just build fabs, last time i checked we dont have a rare earth supply chain here.(Mountain pass in cali doesnt have all the required materials and is ironically partly chinese owned) Can build 100 fabs and would still be reliant on china/asia for wafer production.
More ram would be good. I've seen ram usage right at the 9+gb mark for Apex already so more games down the line will probably be more ram hungry.
Graphics Card Prices Could Soar Amid Increasing Memory Prices
i think it's all bait and switch come out with a low MSRP and no stock then find reason to jack the price up when stock is starting to improve
how many times is this rumor been regurgitated now 20 or 25
Still less times than your insisting on RDNA 3 coming out Q4 21.
Fix it it's RDNA 3.
