I dont think theres a thread for this.
Its releasing tomorrow (Steam + PS Store), and is getting good to great reviews
Run time is relatively short (5-8 hours), but it is not a walking simulator & is relatively cheap (US$ 10 after 10% discount in my region)
Plus there is a dedicated meow button

Some select reviews

Although some reviews put this down as a platformer, it doesn't seem like one (there is no jump button!)
Edit: Jumping is contextual: Cant die/ loose energy (life) due to mistimed, misplanned jumps.

PS: I love cats, so my views are definitely biased.

Also hiss at no jump button how am I supposed to get away from these cucumber sneks !___!

I'd be tempted to buy this but, it included in Playstation Plus Extra & Premium. Plus I get the distinct impression this is going to look absolutely awesome on my OLED vs LCD. Never mind there appearing to be zero info on if this will support Ultrawide's at all.

This game gives me vibes similar to Messiah. Weird character does weird things in dystopian future. I never got around to playing Messiah other than the demo; I'll put Stray on the wishlist for now. Glad that its concept has turned into a good game.

Is this an engine issue if its reoccuring with so many PC UE4 titles?

AFAIK this is not an engine issue. I think the issue is that consoles do not require shader compilation as they have fixed hardware (Shaders are/can be precompiled. Ported titles (rather poorly optimized titles) have this issue as they don't precompile shaders leading to this issue.

Thus when replaying the same area again gets rid of this issue on the same hardware.

DF has videos and blog post(s) on this

PS: I think epic is working on automating at-least part of the process that leads to stuttering.

For 5 hours. Not spending the money baby sitting a cat. Might as well pick up a stray from the street and spend 5 hours teaching her on how to knife her future master.

I really liked Messiah, have it on GOG now, but it's still a buggy mess.

Wait, I play a cat who can't jump?

of course you can jump (and you have to a lot). It's a great looking game, and yes, there are a lot parts where you have to jump 'n run. It has a great story and they obviously put a ton of work into the details of the world. Is it the game of the year? No, but it's good fun. Needless to say it looks great on an OLED. So far i like it a lot
