Thought reviews on these cards would be out today? What's the news on these puppies?

I hope this means yields are uber unexpectedly good for GCN. Meaning there will be plenty of cards available, cheaper too.

AMD tells us more easily able to mount frequency Pitcairn since TSMC has gradually refined its manufacturing process to reduce leakage currents compared to what was found on the first batch of GPU Tahiti. AMD tells us about it if it has a wide margin for overclocking it is not by chance but due to the thermal envelope of 250W, which has limited the scope for the reference frequencies. We would therefore not surprised to see AMD offer an evolution of the Radeon HD 7970 with higher frequencies in the next few months, taking advantage of improvements related to the production to complicate the life of Kepler! Finally, note that AMD indicates that the margin for overclocking the Radeon HD 7950 will also be substantial, but still keeps its specifications confidential.

Yeilds will improve as the process matures. TSMC's 28nm was late getting ramped up for production, but is stated as being on track to ramp up faster than 40nm did.

Bah! 7850 please! 7950 is probably gonna pack a lot of sweet and sexy graphical goodness but bit too pricy!

I'm curious to see how the 7890 performs. It will apparently be a further cut down version of Tahiti - could be good value for money.

I also think 7950 will be to pricy.... The prices for 79xx is to high right now and is not worth it imo
It is 450 US. If it surpasses the 580 in performance, it maybe the right price to pay (for the next 2-3 months at least)

Well it has to surpass the 6970 aleast, MSRP was 369 for the 6970...I hope the performance justifiably makes it worth $80 more, or should I be comparing it to the 6950 ? I plan on getting 2 X 7950.
